Terms & Conditions Of Hire

Below are are general Terms & Conditions of bookings

  1. Bookings & Deposit

    1. Your booking is confirmed once a deposit has been paid, the date remains open for others to book until this point. We will happily pencil you in but the first to put a deposit down secures the date.

    2. For Mirror, Photobooth and Selfie Wizard hire we ask for a £50 non refundable deposit, the final balance to be paid 2 weeks before the event date. Post Box Hire requires £25 deposit the final balance to be paid 2 weeks before the event date.

    3. If we are taking a booking which is less than 2 weeks away full payment will be due at time of booking. 

  2. Hire Time

    1. When you book you will give us a start and end time, we arrive in plenty of time to setup so expect to start at the agreed time, in the unlikely event that we have had to start a little later we will add that time onto the end time if your venue allows us to. We arrive early to avoid late starts, we do have setup procedures which there is always a possibility it will take longer than we expect, this is why we have included this in our terms.

    2. In the event we cannot start at the agreed time due to delays caused by your venue, you or your guests we give a little leeway of 15-20 minutes, after this we will finish at the original agreed time and no refund for lost time will be given. (so as an example  if your hire is due to end at 11pm but delays not caused by us make us start 20 mins late we will finish at 11:20pm venue permitting) 

    3. We cannot be held responsible for any circumstances that may prevent us from attending your event; however if we cannot make it for reasons beyond our control (weather, breakdowns, illness or equipment failure) we will refund all monies paid. This has never happened to us and we hope it to stay this way. We do have backup and will use if the need is there and if we can do.

    4. If you require further hire time and your venue allows it we may be able to do this, payment for extra hours is required upfront on the day, (example you have booked 3 hours but decide that everything is going so well you want another hour, where possible we will stay on the extra time but payment is needed before the extra time starts. If no payment is received before the extra time we will finish at the original time agreed at time of booking) * Extra time is at our discretion and must be agreed by your venue

  3. Payments & Prices

    1. Mirror hire, Photobooth and Selfie Wizard hire requires £50 non refundable deposit – Post Box hire requires £25 non refundable deposit

    2. The remaining balance is to be paid in full 14 days prior to the event start date.

    3. Cancellations will  mean you lose your deposit, Cancellations after you have paid in full we reserve the right to not refund, we will discuss this with you in detail and try to assist where possible

    4. Advertised prices are subject to change without notification until your booking has been confirmed and deposit paid.

  4. Equipment

    1. The company (Paparazzi Mirror) reserves the right to substitute any equipment with equipment of a similar type and and value and amend or alter product specifications. This would be usually props.

    2. The mirror, props and any equipment provided will remain property of the company at all times. Guests tend to enjoy using our props and sometimes they can get a bit too involved and wander off with them to the dance floor etc. We would ask that all props are left at the prop table after use, parents of children we ask that you return any props your child may have, if props are taken to other parts of the room the other guests are losing out on using them. 

    3. Stolen props will be charged to the person that makes the booking, our attendants will do what they can to try and keep the props where they should be.

  5. Location & Conduct

    1. We only need 1 power point for the Mirror, we will set up at the agreed location on arrival but once setup we cannot move to a different location, it is important to decide where you want us before we setup. Please make sure that wherever you want the mirror locating there is enough space,  we ideally need a table for props too, if the venue cannot provide a table we can bring our own but need advanced notice of this.

    2. To provide the best service possible, please try to avoid us being next to DJ, Bands, Speakers, we need to interact with your guests without having to shout. 

    3. We need to be made aware of anything that will hinder our setup. This can be stairs or other obstacles. 

    4. It is the clients responsibility to ensure that suitable crowd control is in place, we reserve the right to terminate our hire in the event of anything that endangers the safety of our team, equipment and your guests. No refunds will be given for termination of service due to this. 

    5. We reserve the right to refuse guests use of the mirror if our attendant feels they are too unruly, disruptive, drunk or abusive. The mirror is perfect for those that have had a few drinks,  but we have to take safety and reduce risk of damage seriously.  Our first choice would be for anyone that is over keen due to alcohol to keep them at the photo end of the barriers and avoid them touching the mirror. We may speak with the hirer about behaviour of individuals if we need to do so.

  6. Liability & Insurance

    1. Our attendants are onsite with the mirror for the full duration, so damage is highly unlikely, but in the event that a guest does cause damage you are accepting responsibility for your guests and we reserve the right to make claim for any damage and loss of business.

    2. Where we are creating a photo album or guest book, we cannot be held responsible for damage or loss incurred by guests. IE. drink spills.

    3. We  accept no liability for any damage or loss of personal property and/or any injury arising from the misuse of the hired equipment.

    4. Children under 10 must have an adult in attendance. The hirer agrees to guarantee permission is in place for photos to be taken.

    5. We have public liability insurance up to £10m.

    6. Our equipment is fully PAT tested.

    7. Our staff are DBS checked.

  7. Social Media

    1. Unless agreed beforehand we will post pictures taken onto our social media, this allows you and your guests to view all photos and even tag each other. Our social media includes Facebook, Instagram & Twitter.
      A disclaimer is added to any online album stating we will remove any photo if needed.

    2. Unless specifically agreed beforehand, we may use any photographs from your event for advertising and promotional material, online and in print.

PRIVACY

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, phone number, initial enquiry is just name, email and postcode, further information is only taken to complete a booking.
